Infrared photographs of the Canadian West Coast rainforest that fills Vancouver Island
Infrared Photography was originally used by the US army to photograph the forests in Vietnam. The camouflage patterns used to hide troops and bases turn up black, not red, as the canvas is not photosynthesizing. This would give the army a very clear understanding of where the Vietnam bases were.
